Great Parks of Hamilton County is accepting applications for part time Guest Experiences Attendant I & II at various locations. This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Greets and serves guests at boathouses, snack bars, banquet centers, golf course, campgrounds, athletic complex and other park facilities. Performs grounds maintenance and custodial duties. Position frequently includes cash handling and reservation responsibilities. Standard practice allows employee to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks of Hamilton County’s policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.
Greets and serves guests to ensure satisfaction. Handles guest inquiries.
Operates point-of-sale system, reservation system, cash box and cash register.
Performs various grounds maintenance. Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
Prepares food products, and maintains clean and sanitary conditions.
Opens facilities and prepares for daily business. Closes and secures facilities at end of business day.
Takes inventory of merchandise and records results.
Sells food and merchandise, maintains merchandise displays, rents equipment, makes reservations and operates motorized equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of guest and employee areas including restrooms. May include other housekeeping duties.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May serve alcoholic beverages as part of golf, snack bar and/or banquet center duties.
Utilizes and promotes environmentally sustainable practices and processes.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Grounds maintenance equipment and tools; golf cart; motorized boat; computer; printer; calculator; copier; telephone; point-of-sale system; reservation system; cash register; cash box; food service equipment; recreation equipment; and other standard office and job equipment.

A combination of indoor and outdoor working conditions with exposure to heat, cold and rain. Food service conditions may include additional exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools and odors.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of: Basic accounting principles; fishing and boating; motorized boat operation; golf cart operation; golf rules and etiquette; food service equipment; and general maintenance skills is preferred.

Skill In: Written and verbal communications. Basic math. Basic computer skills. Maintenance skills including house cleaning, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc.
Additional Information / Benefits
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
Must be at least 16 years old or 19 years old to serve alcohol. May be required to complete alcohol service training on a yearly basis. May be required to complete safe food service training on a yearly basis. Must be available to work various shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
Starting pay rate is $9.41 per hour.
