Green Schoolyards Action Network Planning Team Member Application

Thank you for your interest in serving as a Planning Team Member for the Green Schoolyards Action Network. This volunteer position will help build content and action steps to achieve the Network’s vision: that all Cincinnati Public Schools’ students have equitable access to outdoor experiences and environmental education, regardless of demographics or economic status.

Time commitment:

Planning team members should expect to spend approximately 5 hours a month assisting our Green Schoolyards program. This includes one Planning Meeting per month, which is scheduled based on Team Members’ availability. Additionally, we ask our Planning Team Members to try and attend our Network Meeting on the second Thursday of each month from 2:30-4pm. Depending on circumstances, meetings will be virtual, in-person, or a combination.

Qualities of someone who would be successful in this position*:

• Can work well in a team environment
• Has experience or knowledge of developing greenspaces
• Enjoys project management
• Has experience writing curriculum (specifically for students and educators’ professional development)
